Fronds 8-10 cm. in height, irregular in outline, irregularly dichotom- ously branched four or five times; branches short, turgid, terete, with tips more or less blunt; cystocarps irregularly situated tipon the branches, pro- jecting considerably to one side; tetraspores immersed in the cortex, tri- partite or cruciate ; antheridia ? This species is 10 be distinguished by its irregular and rather scanty branching and by its robust, cylindrical, short frond. W. A. S. 02348467
