«?§ [jpgs Phycotheca Boreaii-Amerioana. Collins, Holden, and Setcheli, Harvey, Nereis Bor.-Am.t part 3, p. 48, PI. XLV G, 1858. Wright, Trans. Irish Acad., Vol. XXVIII, p. 21, PL II, 1881 Key West, Florida. MISS C. MESSINA. According to Wright, this is a combination of a Ciadophora with the hyphae of a fungus, to which he gives the name Blodgettia Borneti; unless the host is identified with some known species of Ciadophora, it will probably have to be known as C. confervoides.
