Habitat
Sandstone knob that slopes downward toward the north with much bare sandstone interspersed with shrub-lichen-moss beds; dominant plants-Pinus rigida (often stunted), Vaccinium pallidum, Gaylussacia baccata, Oxydendrum arboreum, and Pteridium aquilinum. On steep, slightly seepy slope of knob.
