<	Phallus gelatinous, indefinite, verrucose-tuberculose, green in late sum-
mer, in September had acquired a reddish color on surface; cells 10—15
mik. in diameter, tegument thick, colorless, hyaline; cytoplasm orange
? (aurantiacus) but more often green.
On submerged rocks and pebbles in slow current.
Minnehaha creek, Soldiers’ Home, Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The above species differs from Rabenborst’s specimen, no. 1778, in contain-
ing calcium carbonate in quantity. I* is accompanied by filaments which much
resemble Stigeoclonium in its transiti°n stage.
