Gravelly sloping open sides of rocky dry stream course, full sun. Aratemisia tridentata, A. michauxiana, Ajnica amplexicaulis, Cirsium eatonii.

Description
One clump seen at 9050 ft., one at 9090 ft., locally common between 10050 adn 10090 ft., and locally common between 10170 and 10340.
