In good stand of Medicago sativus on W-facing slope with
somewhat sandy soil, and a few annual weeds like
Chenopodium album, Amaranthus retroflexus, Setaria
glauca. Common in one area but seems to be absent from
much of the hayfield and not a general hayfield weed in this
area. Plants seem to be mostly single. Most plants when
pulled up have a few small round tubers a few cm from the
base of the plant on very slender rhizomes. Inflorescence
yellow-green.
