Both cystocarps and polyspores have been found in Jamaica speci- mens ; in the former the spores have thick cell walls and are arranged as in Spermothamnion; the involncre is only slightly developed. The poly spores are quite numerous, in an ovate or snbepherical mass, occu- pying not more than half the diameter of the large, hyaline sporangium. F. S. COLLINS. 02266619
