  • Description

    Pileus 4-7 cm broad, depressed on the disc, with uplifted but incurved irregular margin when young, with decurved and uplifted irregular margin and depressed disc with age, almost subinfundibuliform, dry, chocolate brown (6F4), tomentose over disc, finely areolate to subsquamulose when young, pale cinnamon brown (6E5-4) and mostly finely areolate-subquamulose with age. Flesh white, unchanging, 5 mm thick, with spermatic to farinaceous odor and taste. Lamellae decurrent, crowded, pale pink, with even to uneven edges. Stipe central to eccentric, curved, 2.5-4 cm long, 8-10 mm broad, ±equal, canescent to silky pruinose, pale gray brown when young, white with age, with interior white as in pileus.
