Bolivia. Santa Cruz. Andrés Ibáñez Prov. 2-3 km by dirt road SE of Santiago El Torno.

Habitat
Subtropical deciduous forest of Anadenanthera macrocarpa, Cnidoscolus basiacanthus, Astronium, on highly dissected terrain (max. elev. ca. 750 m.) on unconsolidated reddish sandy silt. Mostly deciduous now, but some trees sprouting new leaves at end of dry season. Much being cleared for cattle pasture and plantations of Citrus and other fruit crops. Some Attalea speciosa, especially in the valley bottoms. Common on disturbed soil at edge of dirt road, but S. americanum not seen here.

Description
1.2 m. tall herb. Corolla white with darker star; anthers yellow. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
