Location Notes
Carmona, is located in Antigua Guatemala, in the Department of Sacatepéquez. Carmona is a high altitude farm that is managed by Maria Zelaya Aguirre. She has managed since 1959, and she is the third generation that works there. History goes back to the 16th century, when Don Juan de Carmona came to Guatemala with the Spanish conqueror Don Pedro de Alvarado and start cultivating a variety of agricultural products. Since the latest 1800's the farm was acquired by the Zelaya family.
