treeland and grassland habitats at treeline; woodlands consist of Hesperomeles, Miconia, Barnadesia, Baccharis, etc.; extensive bogs present, and mosses in extensive sheets over bare cliffs, boulders are mostly granitical; grassy bog with numerous shallow water flushes choked with Juncus. emergent from shallow water in slightly sloping grassy area.
