Frond cylindrical, filiform, olive-brown changing quickly to green when
removed from the water, up to 1 meter in length, repeatedly pinnate;
pinnae and pinnulae capillary, exactly opposite; stem and branches tra-
versed by an articulated filament surrounded by a layer made up of lar-
ger (air cavities) and smaller cells.
Attached to rocks in channel at low tide.
