Fronds reaching a height of 25cm., broadly pyramidal in outline;

long and flexuous primary branches, decidedly flattened and usually nar-
row ; primary branches arising irregularly; secondary branches and
branchlets more uniform and arranged in a very regularly pinnate fashion ;
cystocarps situated in the short and much swollen tips of the branchlets,
considered by Schmitz to be characteristic of the genus Pikea; structure
of the frond as in P. Californica Harv.
The specimens referred to this species have been \ nong the assem-
blage of forms passing under the name of P. CalifornicS. The habit of
the plant is totally different and constantly so.
