Frond dark or dull red, becoming coral red and finally waxy white
when exposed, 30-60 cm. long, fleshy or cartilaginous in substance,
cylindrical, filiform, irregularly branched; branches long, sub-simple,
erect, attenuate; ramuli few, tapering at each end; cystocarps hemi-
spherical, scattered, numerous on the branches.
Washed up on rocky beach.
Near Tracyton, Kitsap county, Washington.
