    Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012. Using Google Maps, located neighborhood Ponta Negra in Manaus, Amazonas. Located the beach of Ponta Negra, assuming it to be the sandy area adjacent to Igarapé do Tarumã-açu in the northern section of Ponta Negra. Approximated the geographic center of the beach using visible evidence, then used Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs to find the coordinates. Used measurement tool (Google Maps) to find the linear extent by measuring from the selected coordinates to the farthest extent of the beach. Input coordinates, linear extent (2362.00 m.), and measurement error (.01 m.) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius.
