Description
Solitary palm, stem about 12 m. tall,, at base damaged by fire and somewhat narrowed, diameter at 6 m: 37 cm. 15 contemporaneous leaves; sheath 11 d, long; petiole lacking to 1 dm long, rachis 37 dm long,, with 150 pairs of pinnae. 10 inflorescences present in all stages; basal bract 6.5 dm long, second bract about 17 dm long; rachis 9 dm long with 189 rachillas; flowers yellow, very odorant. Fruit yellowish-green, deciduously setulose. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
