Habitat
With deciduous forest with some Pinus strobus on slope above road and fringe fo tree, including Diospyros virginiana, and shrubs below the road, where the water occasionally rises.

Description
Small tree 8 m. tall, 12 cm. in diameter; bark tight, blocky, coarsely furrowed. Female, flowers larger than those of males, Nee 56375. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
