United States of America. North Carolina. Onslow Co. 150 m. E of Highway 17 along W bank of White Oak River at S end of 17 Family Campground, Maysville, 19 km. NE of Jacksonville.

Habitat
In shallow water and steeply-sloping emergent, fine sily-sand alluvium of river bank within 1 m. of spring flood line under mature Quercus virginiana/ Acer rubrum/Taxodium distichum swamp forest with Viola spp., Juncus sp., Carex spp. Common.

Cytologically determined: 2n = 66, D. M. Britton (OAC), June 1995; very common on opposite shore (in Jones County). Repls.: 13. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
