Cottonwood Springs, Tonto National
Forest, T2S R8E Section 23, 2100 feet,
640 meters.

Arizona Upland-desert riparian, area
supposedly not grazed for 8 years, with
Populus fremontii and Baccharis
salicifolia as dominants by creek,
Cercidium, Carnegiea, Calliandra
eriophylla, Simmondsia chinensis as
dominants on dry slopes. Abundant
fragrant shrub on dry, rocky slope.
