GLASS MOUNTAIN REGION: N edge of Long Valley.
Conspicuous solitary rhyodacite dome arising from valley floor,
appx. 4mi. N of Benton Crossing / Owens River. (Dexter
Canyon quad: 37° 45.18'N, 118° 46.928'W; T2S R29E S21,
SW/4 of SE/4). Alt.: 2256m/7400ft.

Volcanic cone rising 500 ft. above valley floor. Soft sandy
pumice soil with rhyodacite outcrops. Grazed / disturbed scrub of
Artemisia tridentata, Purshia tridentata, Grayia spinosa, Prunus
andersonii, Bromus tectorum, Hesperostipa comata, Leymus
cinereus, Phacelia bicolor and a few scattered Juniperus and Pinus
monophylla.

Scattered, common.
