Description
Pileus 1-4.5 cm broad, dry, but probably subvisvcid when wet, dark reddish brown, appressed fibrillose, with incurved margin. Flesh white unchanging, with farinaceous odor and taste, up to 1 cm thick. Lamellae adnexed to emarginate, close, pale yellow (4A3), devloping reddish brown stains, with even margins. Stipe 4.5-6 cm long, 5-11 mm broad, ±equal to somewhat broader below, dry, appressed fibrillose striate, with reddish brown fibrils becoming darker reddish brown with handling, withwhite basal mycelium soon becoming pastel yellow (3A4); interior becoming hollow.
