side State Highway 51; Purshia tridentata/Artemisia
spp. community on rocky outwash fan of small draw;
rocky, volcanic soil; west exposure, 20~30% slope;
5500 ft.; common with Artemisia tridentata ssp.
vaseyana, Ribes aureum, Purshia tridentata,
Symphoricarpos oreophilus and Prunus virginiana;
plants to 0.4 m tall.
