Adjacent to highway 15 mi. west of Sell$
near Pan or Bread Mts., Papago Indian Reservat-
ion, Pima. Co. Alkaline flats; common,

El. C. 2,600 ft.; herb l| - 2 ft. in height.
Used by Papagos to cure rheumatis^ sores of
the legs. Entire plant is placed in hot water
& utilized in a sweat bath for affected legs.
Body should be well covered, "tatcak” Also

called "donkey’s hay”
