Alt. 2120m/6954ft. Moist mud heaves along shallow road cut. Fine silty (somewhat alkaline) soil holding moisture late. Grazed scrub of Artemesia cana, Chrysothamnus nauseosus, with mesic areas supporting Achillea millefolium, Senecio hydrophilus, Penstemon rydbergii, Lupinus lepidus, Trifoluim longipes, Astragalus lemmonii, Muhlenbergia richardsonis, Juncus mexicanus.
