Sta. Rosa and Machala, finca of Don Vicente Pesantes. About 12 plants growing around
pigsty at farmstead. Typical coastal type. Local name: tomatillo. Very popular. Eaten
fresh; said to withstand climate better than large planted varieties. Classified as var.
cerasiforme in collection notes.
