Description
Palm, solitary, 0.5 meters tall. Underground trunk 3.5 cm wide by 11 cm long. Inflorescence arising from among the leaves, bract green, 15 cm long by 1 cm wide when unopened, covered with light brown scales. Flowers borne on panicle ca 10 cm long, flowers yellow. Leaves pinnate, 40-45 cm long with 30-35 pinnae per leaf. Fruits 2.0 cm long by 1.25 cm wide with pointed apex; fruit turning from green to brown when ripe. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
