    Flat, grazed grass savanna near airstrip, with regularly spaced brush-covered ant/termite mounds. With Cybistax antisyphilitica, Brosimum gaudichaudii, Curatella americana, Simarouba. On fine recent alluvium.

    Slender palms, 2-4.5 cm. tall, 8 cm. in diameter, on termite islands. Leaves ca. 12 in crown. Inflorescence erect or arching in crown. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
