In sand pockets on SW-sloping sandstone outcrop with Ephedra, Glossopetalon, Artemisia & Amelanchier.

Description
Perennials from creeping rootstocks; leaves nearly glabrous; phyllaries dimorphic, the inner series united ca. 1/3 their length; ray florets sterile, the ligules yellow; disk florets with corolla lobes much shorter than throats; pappus of 2 minute projections fused to cypselae. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
