In rocky siltstone soil on N-facing slope with Coleogyne, Ephedra, Fallugia & Atriplex.

Description
Herbaceous perennials from deep-seated, creeping rootstocks; leaves nearly glabrous; phyllaries dimorphic, the inner series united ca. 1/3 their length, with scarious margins often >1 mm wide; ray florets sterile, the ligules yellowl disk florets with corolla lobes much shorter than throats; pappus obsolete. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
