GLASS MOUNTAIN REGION: Kelty Meadows; appx. 300m
upstream from 4WD road crossing of Kelty Canyon. (Glass mtn.
quad: 37° 45.148'N, 118° 38.38'W; T2S R30E S23, SE/4 of
SW/4). Alt.: 2744m/9000ft.
Subalpine dry meadow on granitic and basaltic alluvium, draining
E. Evidently grazed, with lots of headcutting around dry stream.
Populus tremuloides woodland around meadow edges, Artemisia
tridentata scrub above. With Purshia tridentata, Ribes cereum,
Achillea millefolium, Elymus trachycaulis, Aquilegia formosa,
Muhlenbergia richardsonis, Potentilla, Veratrum, Salix, Juncus,
Carex.
Occasional in meadow. Basal clumps to Sdm across.
