Polylepis forest in small valley, surrounded by much burned grass paramo. Common in Polylepis forest.

Description
Compact shrub, 1-1.5 m; leaves very discolorous, dark green glossy above, yellowish brown below; calyces pinkish beige tomentose, petals creamish white, anthers white with a pink base, globose stigma pale greenish cream. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
