United States of America. New York. Suffolk Co. Small Point State Beach, south of William Floyd Parkway. A few yards west of beach lookout tower. Elevation near sea level.

Habitat
With prostrate Rhus toxicodendron, bayberry and beach plum (Prunus).

Description
dwaf shrub, 7-8 feet tall. A dwarf form, 7-8 feet tall; densely compact, pyramidal. Shapeley accute scalelike leaves. Only a few small plants seen/ Also Juniperus horizontalis (erect form) seen nearby further north along William Floyd Parkway, perhaps internediate form occurs here. Phenology of specimen: Sterile.
