Habitat
Open, southwest-facing grassy pasture slopes, hravily grazed by cattle. Only a few scattered Carya ovata, Zanthoxylum americanum, Ribes missouriense.

Description
Small tree 4 m. tall, 20 cm. in diameter, at least 25 years old, with a dense pyramidal crown. Male. Now shedding pollen. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
