Habitat
Disturbed forest. Terra firme. Hills 30-50 m high, red clay soil. Forest 30-40 m tall with open canopy. Growing in a gap with Cecropia.

Description
Treelet of 7 m., flowers yellow. Branches which have flowers are completely covered with small red ants. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
