Description
Pileus 5-10.5 cm broad, plano-convex with a depressed disc, with uplifted margin with age, dry, white to yellowish white, with occasional scattered brown stains, finely subtomentose and obscurely radially rugulose. Flesh white, with mild odor and very acrid taste, exuding white latex. Lamellae decurrent , extremely crowded, narrow, often repeatedly forked, pale pinkish buff, exuding white latex when cut, often staining pale brown. Stipe 3-5 cm long, 1-2 cm broad, tapering downward, dry, usually curved, white and finely canescent, staining brown slowly when handled, with interior white, pithy, soon hollowing.
