Glumes hairy, acuminate, scarious-margined,
1st 9-10 mm. long, 1 nerved, 2nd 12-14 mm.
long, 3-nerved. Lemma 14-18 mm. long, densely
pubescent, with rather prominent nerves, acu-
minate, scarious-margined from apex to about
middle, bifid with teeth almost 2 mm. long.
Awn 15-20 mm. long,scabrous, somewhat curved.
Palea sparsely long-ciliate on keels. Bachilla-|
joints pubescent, 3 mm. long.
