Brazil. Bahia. Ca. 3km south of small town of Mato Grosso on the road to Vila do Rio de Contas.

Habitat
Sandstone rocks and dry hillside with scrubby vegetation.

Description
Tree with spreading crown to 4m tall, with trunk 15cm in diameter with corky bark. Leaves coriaceous, dark green above, silvery-buff beneath. Heads of capitula pale greenish-brown. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
