Wet cloud forest on steep southwest-facing slope. Dominated by melastomes & Araliaceae with heavy covering of bryophytes and filmy ferns.

Description
Tree 10 m. tall x 12 cm. diameter. Leaves dark green shiny on upper surface; light ferrugineous beneath. Stem and petiole dark brown. Infl. axis light ferrugineous. Ovary green with purple blush. Calyx rose-pink. Phenology of specimen: fruit.
