Elevation about 800 feet. Alkaline, moist to wet clay - loam. Mesic prairie remnant along old powerline bed. Rather common large-clumped perennial grass to 1.5-2 meters tall, leaf underside and stem glaucous; stems often pink towards base. Steven R. Hill 34925 09 August 2002
