GLASS MOUNTAIN REGION: SW edge of Adobe Valley: appx. 2mi SW of Hwy 120, .5mi SE of FS Rd. IS 16 (McGee Cyn. Rd), along exposed rhyolitic ridge near FS Rd. 1S55. (Indian Meadows quad: 37° 52.835'N, 118° 40.864'W; TIS R30E S8, NE/4). Alt.: 2134m/7000ft.
Exposed wind-sculpted Bishop Tuff ridge running SW-NE surrounded by soft pumice alluvium. Dry grazed sagebrush scrub below, with Artemisia tridentata, Chrysothamnus viscidiflorus, Eriastrum wilcoxii.
Common, widely scattered.
