GLASS MOUNTAIN REGION: E-slope of Black Mountain, appx. 2.5km S of peak, at end of old mine/ranch road from Kelty Meadows area. (Glass Mtn. quad: 37° 47.23'N, 118° 37.711'W; T2S R30E SI 1, NE/4 of SE/4). Alt.: 2622m/8600ft.
Small E-running drainage cutting through rocky decomposed granite alluvium. Dense upland scrub of Artemisia tridentata, Purshia tridentata, Eriogonum umbellatum, Chrysothamnus viscidiflorus, Grayia spinosa, Symphoricarpos rotundifolius and occasional Pinus monophylla. More mesic wash areaswith Populus tremuloides, Ribes cereum, Salix geyeriana, Agastache urticifolia, Wyethia mollis, Potentilla glandulosa.
Common grass here. Basal clumps to 1dm across.
