United States of America. Utah. Salt Lake Co. Wasatch Range, Big Cottonwood Canyon east of Salt Lake City. Mill B, Northfork Trail, along switchbacks to Hidden Falls.

Habitat
Southwest-facing slope along trail. In association with Quercus gambelii, Juniperus osteosperma, Artemisia tridentata, and Apocynum androsaemifolium. Locally common. in dry rocky soil developed on the Big Cottonwood complex.

Description
Slender-branched, silvery green shrub to ca. 2 ft tall.
