Wakulla County: small scrubby tree in long-leaf pine-scrub oak on sand ridge, at Trout Pond Recreation Area, Apalachicola National Forest, just off Spring Hill Road, generally S of Tallahassee. Some associates: Pinus palustris. Quercus laevis, margaretta, Vaccinium elliottii, Pityopsis flexuosa, P. áspera var. adenolepis, Aristlda stricta.~
