    On steep side of an arroyo. In Pinus muricata forest. In diatomaceous earth (Sisquoc formation).

  • Description

    No cones seen at NY, Jun 1996. Several (about 14) larger trees, some more than 3 ft. in diameter near base. Cones filed separately. First located by James Griffin and to be published by him (Forest Science 10: 317-319). Phenology of specimen: Sterile.
