COCHISE, CO., 35 mi. ENE of Douglas on road to Cloverdale,N.M. at 5000 feet elevation in a canyon on the west slope of the Pelon-cillo Mts., just inside the Coronado National Forest.
Tree to 4 dm; bark pale gray, "alligatored", the ^checks about &x 2.5 cm; leaves dull gray-gre^n.
Immediately sympatric with (J. reticulata, emoryi, chrysolepis.
