On floodplain on north side of Beaverdam Creek; somewhat disturbed alluvial forest. Site #69 (Lat. 34°05'02"; Long. 82°40,11"), at unpaved County Road 244 bridge over Beaverdam Creek; ca. 1 mile west of the Savannah River. Below the 475-ft. contour (full pool for proposed Russell Lake). Area to be impounded in mid-1980's by U. S. Army Corps of Engineers.
