    United States of America. Utah. Iron Co. 0.5 mile south, 4.9 miles east of Paragonah. (Take Center Street east out of Paragonah several miles to boundary of Dixie National Forest, then 1.3 miles east on FR 078, then 0.15 mile north on 2-track to site.) Dixie National Forest: Red Creek Canyon.

  • Habitat

    Densly scrubby pinyon-juniper woodland on moderate W- [west] and S- [south] slopes. Cercocarpus ledifolius, C. montanus, Peraphyllum, Quercus gambelii, grasses and forbs in understorey. Abundant. Rocky soil on W-[west] facing side; light ashy-gray, sandy soil on S-[South] facing side.

    Very distal-most portion of corolla purplel otherwise corolla white or with faint purple blush. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
