Habitat
With dominants Helianthella microcephala, Tetraneuris acaulis, and Erigonum lonchophyllum, ....; PInus ponderosa with pinyon-juniper on nearby surrounding slopes. Common locally but restricted to one population of ca. 400 plants and not seen elsewhere in Lone Mesa State Park. Mancos Shale.

Dense leafy mounds, flowering stem (12-) 40-80 (-100) mm high. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
