Tree to 3 m. Flakey, orangey bark. Cones honey brown. Very common in the immediate area. Growing in a brushy, 21 year old old-field with Malus, Lonicera, Aster, Solidago rugosa, and Chelidonium majus. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
