Georeferencing Method
Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012. Georeferenced to the approximate midpoint of the road which connects the city of Monte Dourado and city of Munguba in Pará, BR. Using Google Maps - Satellite View, located the geographic center of the city of Monte Dourado along Rio Jarí and the geographic center of the city of Munguba. Located the unnamed road which connects the two cities. Used Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) to measure a straight line starting at the location where this unnamed road comes nearby the geographic center of the city of Monte Dourado (at the four-way intersection with the unnamed road which connects the geographic center of city of Monte Dourado to the plateau of Monte Dourado) to the approximate geographic center of the city of Munguba; halved this distance to approximate the midpoint of this segment of road. Used Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs to find the coordinates of the midpoint. Input coordinates, linear extent (the distance from the midpoint to the farthest extent of the segment of the road, 7344.98 m.), and measurement error (.01 m.) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius (according to the Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Named Place: River, stream, road, path). Site is located in the Brazilian state of Pará, not Amazonas.
